Five things we learned this week

1. Prince William and Kate have come under attack after it was revealed William carried out less royal duties in the last year than his 94-year-old grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh. The royal couple were criticised for taking a private jet to Courchevel, where Prince George and Princess Charlotte saw snow for the first time.

2.  Kim Kardashian West has been defending her nude shenanigans after she posted an old naked selfie of herself. The photo, which she claims was aimed at celebrating being comfortable in her own skin, was met with backlash from other celebs. Piers Morgan, Bette Midler and Pink all chimed in on the attack.

3. Filming of the new Baywatch film has started and the cast includes Zac Efron and Dwane ‘The Rock’ Johnson. David Hasselhoff is said to make an appearance too. Will Pamela Anderson follow swim suit?

4. The return of the…film crew. The cast and crew of Star Wars are reported to be scheduled to film on Malin Head this May. Having already left their mark on Sceilg Mhichíl, the second installment of the rebooted trilogy will feature scenes from the scenic Donegal coastline, according to The Derry Journal.

5. And finally, Gillian Anderson has revealed she wouldn’t rule out committing to another series of The X Files.  During an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, the The Fall actress announced that she was offered half the pay pack of what her co-star DavidDuchovny was getting to return to the sci-fi show.  The 47-year-old actress told Jonathan Ross: “I knew that from the beginning and there was a reason why [David Duchovny was being paid more than me] because I was starting from nothing and he had just done a big film but there was a certain point where we were doing the same amount of work and it was time to renegotiate. And I did.”
