Three much-watch films from Cannes

We’ve all been keeping a careful watch on the fashion statements being made at the Cannes Film Festival but now it’s time to focus on what was almost as important – the movies themselves. There were tons of movies screened and premiered at the festival but here are a few we will be watching out for…

ruth negga

Loving looks at a couple who were at the centre of the Loving Vs Virginia supreme court case which focused on interracial marriage in the USA. Irish actress Ruth Negga stars and while it won’t hit cinemas until later this year, and there is yet to be an official trailer released, we can’t wait!

Kirsten personal shopper

Olivier Assaya’s mysterious ‘Personal Shopper‘ stars Kirsten Stewart and tells the ghost story that revolves around the fashion underworld of Paris. We’re not sure just how scary this one might be, but fashion? Paris? Sold.

the nice guys

The Nice Guys was also premiered and while it is a bit more mainstream than some of the movies screened at the festival, this one is definitely on our must watch lists. It’s a 70s buddy-cop comedy starring Ryan Gosling and Russel Crowe. Enough said.
