It might seem a little early to be talking about Christmas but when there are in demand events happening in the run up to the festive season, it’s worth checking out and booking in ahead of time.

Providing the perfect Christmas show for lovers of opera and and Christmas classics, Celine Byrne Home for Christmas will take to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre stage for one night only on December 18th this year.

Celine will perform the best-known and loved operatic arias along with some seasonal favourites including the in demand favourite, O Holy Night.

Celine Byrne will be joined by the Festive Orchestra under the direction of Conductor David Brophy, and together they will perform arias such as ‘Un bel Di’ from Madame Butterfly and the famous Jewel Song from Faust. This performance comes after Celine appears as Mimi in Novaya Opera’s production of La Bohéme also at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

Celine enjoys universal acclaim of audiences and critics alike across the opera world but her recitals and concerts are also garnering an enthusiastic fan base right across Europe. This autumn she is on tour with Jose Carreras in China. She has also performed with Andrea Bocelli, Roberto Alagna, Joseph Calleja and Gaston Rivero.

“This has been a fantastic year for me,” said Celine, recently. “From singing in the Royal Albert Hall, London to Huguang Guild Hall, Beijing, home to Ireland to sing in RTÉ’s wonderful Centenary TV concert and all the while receiving great reviews for my Opera roles. Celine concluded, “but I am so looking forward to this Celine Home for Christmas Show at the Bord Gais on December 18th. Having David Brophy conduct I know that he will bring out the very best in me and the orchestra and it will be the perfect night to start everyone’s Christmas week.”
