The Dog Friendly Festival
The Doggie Do is a family-friendly festival for and about dogs and their humans and is an afternoon dedicated to family, fun and your furry friends, taking place at Herbert Park today, September 11th 2016. This year a very special guest, Mr John Grogan author of the wonderful Marley & Me, will be in town for the festival and there will be tons of cultural chats at The Cultured Canine, as well as a special chill out area called Doggie & Soul.
As with any festival, dogs and their owners can enjoy some great food, ReTail Therapy shopping and a canine costume competition to crown the ‘Dog Of Dublin 2016’.
Charity Dogs Trust will be onsite with lots of fun and games for pets and their owners, as well as a Mardi Gras for Mutt & Man too. The festival kicks off at 1pm and some of the highlights include a doggy parade, an education quiz, positive dog training, Dog’s Trust Got Talent show, face painting (so you can be made look just like your dog) and our personal favourite – a dog and owner look alike competition.
