The 51st Irish Antique Dealers Fair will take place at the RDS from September 23 to 25

With vintage and antique trends as popular as ever, this year’s Irish Antique Dealers Fair is gearing up to be the best.

Here’s the line up of who will be leading the lectures at this year’s fair.

Friday September 23

12 Noon  Julian Radcliffe, Art Loss Register – Protecting Irish Heritage Recovering Stolen Art and Antiques in Ireland

1 pm – Robert O’Byrne – Restoration  Drama – Bring Irish Houses Back to Life.

2 pm – Dr. Patricia McCarthy – Making the Right Impression Country Houses in Georgian Ireland

3 pm – Dr. Claudia Kinmonth – Irish Country Furniture 1700-1950. Decoration and Display in the Traditional Farm Kitchen

Saturday September 24

12 Noon – Niall Mullen and George Stacpoole in Conversation. Combining Antiques with 20th Century Pieces

1 pm  – Virgina Teehan. The Centenary of the Honan Chapel, Jewel in the Crown of Irish Arts and Crafts Movement

2 pm – Carleton Varney. Decoration Around Your Personality. From Dromoland Castle 1962 to the Present

4 pm – Phyllis McNamara. Jewels of Love and Marriage

Sunday September 25

12 Noon  – Dr. Tom Sinsteden, Member of Antique Plate Committee Dublin Assay Office – Fakes and Forgeries of Irish Silver

1 pm – George Williams – Irish Furniture and the Creation of Class

2 pm – James Harbourne, Senior Warden. The Company of Goldsmiths of Dublin 1637 – 2016

4 pm – Cathryn Day Carrigan. Gilding and Establishing Authenticity of Original Frames
