Renovating anytime soon? It might be worth your while getting familiar with the National Standards Authority of Ireland new guide. 

The NSAI is launching the retrofit energy efficiency standard S.R. 54 Code of Practice this week at the Energy Show at the RDS.

It’s a free technical guide that provides best practice information for contractors, architects, engineers and insulation installers, which is being backed by architect and RTÉ’s Home of the Year judge Hugh Wallace.

Hugh 2015 The guide is a combined effort of NSAI, SEAI, Department of Environment, Community and Local Government and the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.

 Since 2013 there has been over €800 million worth of renovations carried out in more than 35,000 homes across Ireland, all under the Home Renovation Incentive scheme.
