Celebrity | The juices and smoothies that the stars love

As the juices and smoothies craze continues, many of us take inspiration from what the stars are consuming. Well, if it can work for them, it can work for us.

It’s not if they drink juices or smoothies. It is what type. Almost every celebrity and star consume some fruit and vegetable based drinks as part of their overall healthy eating plan.

While celebrities are known for their unique (and slightly scary!) eating routines, it is interesting to note that most adopt a more simplistic approach when consuming such drinks.

Kale, celery, apple, cucumber and a squeeze of lemon is the mix that model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley prefers. She believes this drink makes her feel that “everything’s going the way it should” and eradicates the guilt of not eating the whole five fruit and vegetables a day.

Blake Lively attributes the introduction of juices to her diet as something that “changed it all” for her. “Vegetables in their purest form are refreshing and palate-cleansing, while the sweet notes of the fruits and mint make this both quenching and intoxicating.”

This mix includes one cup of kale, two swiss chard leaves, half a small beet, half cup of parsley, half cup of pineapple, two green apples, half a lemon and one sprig of fresh mint.

Michelle Williams is also a fan of green juices. “Juicing takes the work out of the equation and frees me from thinking about food so I can concentrate on other things. I can’t think of anything that makes me feel as good.”

A mix of kale, spinach, chard leaves, apples and lemon is her go-to drink.

Debra Messing is another advocate of all things green. “Every morning on set I have my ‘green drink,’ which is spinach, kale, cucumber, lemon, celery, and green apple,” Messing says. “I’m not a big green vegetable eater, so the juice really has filled a huge void in my diet, and I feel stronger for it.”
