Fashion | Transitioning your clothes from Winter to Spring
As daylight finally begins to stretch during the day, that only means one thing to us. It’s almost spring, and time to get our new wardrobe attire ready.
We are almost there. While there is another expected cold snap this weekend, we can almost smell the spring air. At last, we can put away those dark and dreary winter clothes and finally embrace colour.
But as we go between the seasons, what should we be wearing? Yes, there are some outbreaks of sun during the day but it is still bitterly cold as we leave the house in the morning.
Adding a pop of colour to your wardrobe is the best way to transition to a spring wardrobe. Gradually add some bright hues to your outfits with a nice scarf, skirt or shirt.
This spring’s top colours are an eclectic mix of eye-catching and subtle tones from fiesta and green flesh to the softer lilac greys and peach. If you are too scared to embrace such colours in your clothes just yet, why not try to incorporate them in accessories such as belts and statement jewellery?
Get ready to ditch that bulky winter coat. Leather jackets continue to remain in trend this season, offering that ultimate cool and effortless look. As always, a well tailored blazer is great for going from day to night.
Replace your knee length boots with ankle ones. Easily worn with shorts, skirts and dresses, tan coloured boots are the perfect staple at this time of year.
While the winter weather may be ending, we won’t be seeing the end to rain. Wellies are great and fashionable at this time.
Layers have been our saving grace during the winter. However, now is the time to upgrade the look. Instead of multiple layers, try one top and a short or three-quarter length sleeved cardigan and in colour.
