Living | Is your child’s name naughty or nice?

For centuries experts have claimed that your name can influence the type of person that you are and how well you’ll do in life. Now, according to a new study, your name can also influence your behaviour – especially when you’re in school.

The study, which examined the names and behaviour of over 63,000 school children, has revealed that children named Jacob, Daniel, Amy and Emma are most likely to be excellent students. However, those named Ella, William, Olivia and Joshua are most likely to get in trouble.

During the study, children were asked to log their good behaviour and achievements in an online sticker book. The children with the most good behaviour awards were named Jacob and Amy, followed by Georgia and Daniel.

In stark contrast, children who were named Ella and Joseph ranked as being particularly bold and disruptive in class.
