News| Movember 2016 begins with jazz

By  |  0 Comments

This year’s Movember campaign got off to a classy start as the Movember Foundation hosted a ‘fun funeral’ to kick things off this week.

Taking to O’Connell Street with a jazz funeral procession, including a horse-drawn hearse and brass band, the crowd on the street couldn’t miss the event, which aims to raise awareness for men’s health.

It’s hoped the stunt – much like the campaign – encouraged Irish men to get themselves checked out, get moving and get talking – ensuring a longer, happier, healthier life.

Want to back the campaign? There are three ways you can do your bit:

  1. Grow a moustache and let your lip go free for 30 days
  2. Move – take a physical activity challenge during MOVEmber
  3. Be the host with the most and run your own fundraising event

Money raised during Movember funds game-changing programs, whilst positively challenging the way in which men’s health issues are researched and addressed.
