Dream Destination: Kerala, India

Located in the south of India, Kerala has a beautiful coast that opens out onto the Arabian Sea. The beaches in this stunning place are incredible and at times, Kerala feels like a million miles away from the hustle and bustle that is synonymous with India.

Why visit Kerala?
Home to elephants, tigers and birds, Kerala is known as ‘God’s own country.’ Even the small villages here are full of life and culture. Here you’ll find delicious cuisine, palm trees, relaxation, sacred temples, festivals and ayurvedic treatments. It’s deeply relaxing and the perfect place to get lost in order to find yourself again.

The famous Western Ghats tower up to 2,700 metres over this place and are a sight to behold. All of this coupled with Kerala’s close proximity to the expected business of the larger cities, makes it an incredibly sought after destination for tourists.

When to go?
June, July and August are peak monsoon months in Kerala. December and January are the area’s busiest tourism months, however if you fancy avoiding the crowds, it’s best to visit directly after the monsoon season. Travel between the start of September up to the end of November and you’ll see fresh forests, incredible waterfalls and more that the monsoons left behind them. The area is hot all year round and you can expect an average temperature of 30-35C.
