Dream Destination: The Seychelles
If it’s good enough for the Royals and the A-list celebs, then it’s good enough for us. This week we’re daydreaming about the stunning island paradise that is the Seychelles.
Made up of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, just off the east of Africa, the Seychelles are known for their stunning beaches, incredible coral reefs and amazing wildlife.
It’s luxe, it’s beautiful and the water is so incredibly blue you’ll really think that you’ve just found heaven.
Why visit the Seychelles?
The first reason is that it screams luxury and gives you a taste of living the high life. However one of the best reasons to visit the Seychelles is the fact that it’s a lot more affordable than you might think. As well as the amazing five-star hotels that come complete with private beaches, there’s also loads of self-catering style accommodations and quaint guesthouses that every budget can afford.
The climate of the Seychelles is also quite steady, meaning you’ll have comfortable temperatures during the length of your stay. The temperature rarely drops below a nice 24C or rises above 32C. Perfect for lounging on the beach.
When to go?
With any tropical island you can expect a certain amount of rain. Thankfully spells of rain in the Seychelles tend to be brief and usually stay fixed to one area of an island. However, if you want to hedge your bets, the driest months to visit are between May and September. November, December and January are the wettest however it’s worth noting that if you opt to travel during the wetter months you’ll still get sunshine between the showers and the prices might be a little bit lower as it’s considered low season on the island.
