Let Me Tell You Something...
Ink Tank, a creative writing group based in Newbridge, Co Kildare, has launched Let Me Tell You Something, its second collection of stories, poetry and more.
Most of these stories and poems were penned during the Covid-19 pandemic; some will reflect the issues around living through lockdowns, most will take you somewhere else entirely. The foreword is written by Eamon Dillon, Assistant Editor of the Sunday World, who states that “It is no ordinary time and this is no ordinary book”.
From bus journeys and love affairs to new world orders and old train stations, there is something in this volume to suit every taste, thanks to the creativity and imagination of local writers Jacqueline Booth, Colette Byrne, Mandy Connolly, Conor Forrest, Kay Kevlihan, Deirdre Lane, Ciaran Mather, Helen McGlynn, Maria McDonald, Breda Reid and Anita Whyte.
The collection is designed to allow readers to dip in and read at their leisure – between these pages are plenty of little snippets to fuel the imagination!
Let Me Tell You Something is available in paperback from local independent bookshops, Farrell and Nephew in Newbridge and Woodbine Books in Kilcullen. It will be available in Supervalu in Newbridge and various other outlets for €10. There is also an e-book version for Kindle available from Amazon for €4.99).
Proceeds from the publication will go to HOPE(D), a Newbridge based charity supporting people with mental health issues.https://www.hope-d.com/
