Sandra Gillen's make up movement
Makeup artist, Sandra Gillen is excited to announce the launch of ‘My Make Up Movement’ online. The Dancing with the Stars make-up artist has decided to use the current stay at home restrictions as an opportunity to take her Makeup Movement series online while adapting it to meet the demands of customers in the current climate. With the launch of My Make Up Movement online, Sandra can now reach all the women who had hoped to attend her events and provide them with the advice and guidance they need when it comes to make up application in a safe environment while bringing fun and knowledge to people in their homes.
What is My Make Up Movement?
Sandra wanted to create a makeup movement that was inclusive of all people, all age groups with all skill levels and in September 2019, she launched her initiative My Makeup Movement having noticed that the makeup needs of more mature women were not being recognised at other beauty events.
This movement brings make up back to basics, by reducing the number of products and brushes you need showing all people of all ages that make up doesn’t have to be difficult, once you know the right products for you and a few simple techniques. Simple, effective and manageable makeup application techniques can be worked into daily routines while making people feel good about themselves and confident about their makeup skills and this lies at the core of what Sandra is about! Sandra believes everyone of all ages deserves to feel good about themselves and has made it her mission to deliver that message to people everywhere.
Sandra had planned to deliver this message through her events which she was hosting across the country but is now adapting her plan to include online makeup appointments where she will be able to assist people with all of their make-up needs via video call whether it is on an individual basis or with a group of friends.
How does it work?
Clients can provisionally book appointments which will be conducted via the Zoom app on www.sandragillenmakeup.ie. For a one to one hour appointment, Sandra can offer advice and expertise on spring cleaning make up bags with product recommendations, correct colour choice, creating the perfect base, rocking a wing liner or applying false lashes. The one-hour appointment can be tailored to the make-up needs of the client; what they want to learn about and the techniques to be improved on. For group appointments Sandra suggests demonstrating a makeup look of the groups choosing. The demo will last around 45min with a 15min Q & A after the demo to answer any questions the group may have. Sandra’s aim is to deliver various options at an affordable price whilst opening up the channels of communication and most importantly encouraging people to take some time for self-care.
Sandra Gillen’s My Makeup Movement is available now to book online sharing her abundance of makeup knowledge and skilful techniques with the people that need it whether it is upskilling or for fun!
