STAR LETTER

I just decided to write this letter to you as in these uncertain times what better could you be doing than letter writing & your brilliant on your magazine with having writing as part of your articles. I just feel I want to give a mention to my mother Nora Cooney from Carramore, Bullaun, Loughrea, Co. Galway who is in a nursing home in Oranmore for the last month & as we cannot go to see her I think I have to talk about her. She is 90years of age had 15 kids; 8 daughters & 7 sons & she Lost her youngest son only last November from bowel cancer he was just 48years of age & she did lose a son in a cot death years ago also. She has 42 grand-kids & 17 great grand kids so shes some woman. She has gone through so much in her life as you can imagine with rearing a very big family & in those days you just had to do all the house-work also & my mother did a lot of farm-work too such ad milking the cows & lots more. She came from a family of 12 kids herself & she has lost a lot of her brothers & sisters also with cancer etc too so she's been through the mill. She was in Galway hospital since December 17th, 2019 where she unfortunately broke her hip for a 2nd time in few years & she's had many falls but she's picked up from them all & she's now doing great in the nursing home. Up to that my Mum was been looked after by my brother & sister-In-Law & their kids in their house for the last 5 years (they fantastic to her) as she does have mild form of dementia but she knows us all & is very alert to all that's going on etc. She's very holy & prays all the time & I believe that is what keeps her going too. I & my family really miss seeing her under these restrictions but we know it's totally safer & for the best but I just thought it would be nice to write about her & I will send on a photo of her too.

Thank you Woman's Way for a great magazine every week keep it up.

Beauty Issue 13

I am writing to you about the Beauty feature in Issue 13 of your magazine about different types of hand cream. It was good to see the wide range of hand creams that you featured.  I am spoiled for choice.  I will definitely be buying one of those creams this week.  Thank you for having such a feature in your magazine as we are all washing our hands much, much more because of the Corona virus.

Stay safe everyone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hi all in Woman's Way. Keep up the good work.
My beautiful sister Margaret Mc Morrow will be a very young 70 on April 17th and as we had to cancel all celebrations, weekend to Connemara, few days to Portugal and family get together, I want to let her know just how much we love her. These celebrations are not cancelled, just postponed. She is an amazing crafter and has made many beautiful things from Woman's Way and we can't wait to see what creations she will produce over these times. Love you so much Mags. Happy Birthday.
Would love if maybe she could see her name in print.
Stay safe everyone,
Sheila
