We love you mum! Thanks for always being such a legend. Here’s 10 reasons why we think you’re the absolute best.

1. SHE’S ALWAYS READY TO OFFER ADVICE – Yes, you may be in your 40s but you still ring her for advice about cooking, cleaning and any other amount of things (the list is endless!). Your mam is an absolute wealth of knowledge on every subject under the sun and she would have easily won a million on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? with absolute ease.

2. SHE ALWAYS HAS YOUR BACK – No matter what the issue, your mammy is primed and ready to fight your corner if needs be (but that being said, she’s also not afraid to give you a reality check if you’re the one that’s in the wrong!).

3. YOU CAN TELL HER ANYTHING – She never judges. She just listens and then swoops in with the perfect aforementioned advice just when you need it.

4. SHE’S STRONG AF – Not only has she raised you, she’s also been through so much in her own life, held down a job, supported her friends and done a million other things, all without complaining or breaking a sweat.

5. SHE JUST GETS YOU – No one understands you quite like your mum. You have this incredible bond and you hope it’s something that everyone gets to experience with their own mum because it’s really something special.

6. SHE’S AN INSPIRATION – She’s achieved so much that she’s constantly inspiring you and it honestly makes you so proud when people say you’re like her.

7. SHE’S GREAT CRAIC – She’s been known to come out with some hilarious jokes when the mood strikes her and she’s up for a bit of divilment on occasion!

8. SHE DROPS EVERYTHING IF YOU NEED HER – Been dumped? She’ll arrive on your doorstep to comfort you. Unwell? Mam will be by your side to give you support. Kids driving you crazy? She’ll happily take them off your hands. Get a promotion at work? You best believe she’ll be planning a celebratory dinner the next time you see her.

9. SHE HONESTLY DOES KNOW BEST (MOST OF THE TIME) – Yes, you’re your own person and you’re great at making your own decisions, but you can’t deny that your mam does indeed have some great insights sometimes…
