I like things that make me smile. Not a houseful, but something I glance at occasionally that brings a grin. Many moons ago I bought a full size cow in the Cow Parade charity auction in Dublin. Miss Clover lived in the Jervis Centre for a while, now she lives with me. She’s blue with clover, buttercups and poppies growing up her legs and she always looks a bit grumpy.

Every morning while I am making tea, I look out at her cross face and she makes me smile. And I have elephants everywhere, they’re a little obsession of mine. There are little troupes parading in unlikely places in silver, wood, diamante, stone - all manner and sizes. They bring me a lot of pleasure.

While we are spending more time at home (more than we would like sometimes) then a little quirkiness brings a bit of joy and personality.
