Some 28 years ago, the small quiet townland of Ballyhupahaun near Rosenallis made global headlines as a group of over 2,000 ‘Rainbow People’ travelled from across Europe to spread peace and love. There was even a rumour that former Taoiseach Charles Haughey flew over Ballyhupahaun in an aeroplane to catch a glimpse of the colourful gathering.
