Bezzu helps Irish independent retailers fight back
Bezzu, a new free mobile app designed to help independent fashion and lifestyle retailers to compete with global online giants, has launched and is available to download on Android and IOS devices for retailers and shoppers alike. Bezzu enables bricks and mortar retailers without any existing online presence or ecommerce function, to easily connect with, and sell to, customers online, at no cost to them. Those already selling online yet struggling to stay competitive, can seamlessly join Bezzu and significantly reduce costs while availing of a vibrant and growing online shopping marketplace.
Bezzu moved forward its intended Summer launch in an effort to help Irish retailers now facing an uncertain future due to the Coronavirus pandemic, to trade online while their physical stores are closed. The highly personalised app offers fashion lovers a streamlined experience to explore, shop and share products from independent retailers in Ireland and, in time, globally. There are currently over 440 Irish retailers on Bezzu with more than 8,000 products available to purchase, with more being added to the platform daily.
Bezzu’s interactive map allows consumers to find local retailers, their exact address and opening hours. The shop-by-location feature will encourage users to visit stores close to them (when the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted) -- helping to increase footfall, or if not in the vicinity, to purchase products from the store online instead. Either way, the app helps to raise the profile of smaller independent retailers, at absolutely no expense to their business.
Users can also avail of a virtual stylist to customize their shopping experience, while the more the app is used to make purchases, the more accurate it becomes at recommending the perfect pieces to complement a user’s style.
